After what we have told you before in another text, the demonstrations against the new Austrian government continued through the city , with some 5 000 people taking part. The provocations of the police got heavier and they regulary started attacks against the march.

The protestors in return destroyed some police-cars and smahed windows of a prison. In the late evening the police decided to end the manifestations, which had in the mean time arrived at the FPOE-Headquarter, with a lot of violence. So they started to attack everything that looked like a potential protestor for them. Result: A lot of people injured, some arrested. Just a little appetizer of how the new government will deal with resistance in the future...

BTW: They didn't manage to stop the protests by that action, a few hundred protestors gathered again an marched on through the city...
